Torsion Spring
A torsion spring is a spring that works by twisting its end along its axis; that is, a flexible elastic object that stores mechanical energy when it is twisted. When it is twisted, it exerts a torque in the opposite direction, proportional to the amount (angle) it is twisted.

Torsion Spring Types
Clothespin Torsion Spring
Clamp Clip Holder
Double Torsion Spring for Garage Door
Hook Torsion Spring
Metal Spiral Torsion Spring Hinge
Stainless Steel Torsion Spring

How do you calculate heavy duty torsion springs?
Torsion coil spring torque is calculated the same way you calculate a working load
Torsion spring torque is calculated the same way you calculate a working load
To calculate the torque of a torsional spring you must divide the spring rate by the amount of degrees of deflection your custom made coil springs will be required to travel.
